Hello everyone, we have a tiled floor on the ground floor with few obstacles (approx. 90 m2 in total). We already use a vacuum robot - which works well. Now the question arose whether a mopping robot would bring further relief. A first research gives an unclear picture, so I wanted to ask here: are there good experiences with such mopping robots? Is it really reliable/clean mopping? Especially in the kitchen, there are always dirt spots (especially with children in the house...), which require quite a bit of mopping by hand. I had read about streaks, puddles, poor mopping performance, etc., even with the high-priced models. Are there big differences between the models? Are certain functions important? Maybe you have a general opinion that you can share. I'll put it this way: if the mopping robot works as well as the vacuum robot, meaning that if the thing runs every day, basically almost no "normal" vacuuming would be needed anymore, that would be good. However, if a mopping robot only "makes things worse," it would not be an option for me. Thanks for your opinions. Ashley

So they are suitable for support, but you should still mop once a week. We have a dark floor, where unfortunately mop marks in the form of streaks become visible very quickly. We have the Roborock S7, which coordinates its paths and does this very well and precisely. No-go zones are simple and accurate. I am glad to have it and would buy it again, especially with children and a sandbox in front of the house.

A small no from me. Last year we had a model from irobot and it broke twice because the pipes got clogged. I also found the wiping performance rather questionable and didn’t feel like the floor really got cleaner with it. And we don’t have pets. Edit: we have very light floors.

We have a Roborock S5 Max. Usually, I let the device vacuum everywhere and in the hallway, living area, and bedroom I also let it mop sometimes. For me, mopping is more for binding dust than for removing dirt. If you already see stains on the floor, then the mop has to be used. I have no experience with the newer robots.

We have already paid attention to easy cleaning when choosing the tiled floor. The vacuum/mop robot from DEEBOT does this well enough.

But I always vacuum first and then mop twice. Although the microfiber cloth remains almost clean the second time.

However, wearing street shoes inside the house is not allowed for us.

We have an affordable vacuum and mop robot from Zaco. The vacuuming is good, but the mopping performance is—as already mentioned above—just picking up dust. This results in a nice shine on the floor, and that's it.

What really brought relief for us was the battery-operated mop from Tineco. I find it really great, and we use it twice a day. And when the stains are very dried in (cat food), I spray it beforehand and after a few minutes I clean it with the mop. So I can really recommend it.
