Hello dear community,
I am new here in the forum and have been restless for days because everyone who advises me wants to sell something and of course only theirs is the best.
On the topic.
We bought a house built in 1968 with currently 179m² living space. The attic is converted, adding another 48m² living space.
Since the house has no heating and is only heated with a wood/coal stove in the living room, it sometimes doesn’t smell very pleasant. We suspect that there is moisture somewhere.
Our plan is this:
Replace windows with triple glazing
Remove interior plaster (possibly new drywall to avoid bringing more moisture into the house)
Completely remove flooring on both floors including screed because it is brittle and decayed and smells
(Replacement: underfloor heating dry construction system including all new water and heating pipes)
Clean exterior facade, remove loose plaster (replacement: exterior insulation)
Completely remove roof, old insulation from 1990 gone, battens gone (replacement: sheathing, vapor barrier, new battens, reroofing and insulation)
Heating should be a pellet combination boiler 20 KW (up to 350KG pellet container) with solar.
Current heat demand 325W/m² according to energy certificate
Walls are 32cm thick.
What do you think or what would you do differently to save costs and time?
(Why dry construction for me? Because I can do it myself)
If someone finds mistakes in the text, feel free to keep them :) .
Best regards, Sokol
