Hello,

we want to buy a house and are now considering which heating system we should choose!?
So there will be wood-burning stoves in the main rooms (living and dining rooms).
We would then only need an auxiliary heating system for the winter.
We were thinking of electricity.

The house has 300 m² on 2 floors.
Ceilings are on average 2.5 m high.
It will be completely renovated and fully insulated, so it won’t be a super well-insulated house as would be ideal. It’s an old solid construction house that will be adapted to the standards as much as possible.

Natural gas would only have to be connected, all other heating systems require a boiler room and a new chimney, which would have to be built first.

How expensive would all this be and what is really worthwhile?
We are willing to invest something, but it should stay within limits...

Hello,
That is already a significant misconception. Wood-burning stoves are only to be used as occasional supplementary heating. Direct electric heating leads to considerable consumption costs in a moderately to well-insulated building and is therefore completely unsuitable.
Which standards?
Cannot be reliably answered; further information such as previous consumption, heating load, or similar would be necessary.
Be very careful, as existing properties are relatively difficult to optimize energetically. It is not uncommon for the so-called "bargain" to end up a money pit.

Regards

Hello,
Hardly, because there are sufficient reasons for that. It is no coincidence that, for example, the Kfw no longer recognizes a wood stove in the energy balance—finally!!!. ;) Among other things, a large part of the energy is lost through the chimney. The overall efficiency is dramatically poor. Therefore, manufacturers advertise the combustion efficiency! ;) With a masonry stove with appropriate storage and/or reheating surfaces, it looks significantly better :)
