House planning done, land purchased - Really build?

Never buy a new build at the current time.

Tip of the century. Better to wait until... the children are grown up? One is less than 30 years away from retirement? The real estate market calms down because the current population growth reverses? One has sunk even more money into rent, which could have already gone into financing? (in this case: money for maintenance of the current house)

if there is no fundamental reason and no improvement is made, I would leave it.
