Hopen lighting, how to install

Hello! We finally want to activate the lighting at the [Hopen Kasten]. So far, the cable was just lying on top of the box. How did you install the light, cable, and transformer? The on/off switch is also not exactly the best solution. How are you managing with it?

Hello, what is the HOPEN Kasten?

The predecessor of the Pax. It's been a while...

I know HOPEN, I just didn't know that a "Kasten" is a cabinet. Aren't the NON spots inside there? I wouldn't know of a better option than cables and transformer on the cabinet. You don't see it up there anyway. Is the switch on the power cable?

:) Oh, I must have overlooked that. Yes, the lighting is inside at the top and so is the cable. Only the switch is right after (about 30cm) the power supply. Instructions don’t provide anything for a perfect wiring. I saw a picture on the internet and there the cable just hung down on the side. But that doesn’t look nice. And the switch isn’t exactly great either.

There is no other option but to make something that corresponds to your own ideas, e.g. chest switches in the cabinet so that the lighting turns on when you open a door. Or a switch at the bottom of the wall that you can operate with your foot or ....
