He has to prove that everything is set up correctly, i.e. at least perform continuity tests. However, I would demand at least one proper test or preferably a certification, i.e. he has to measure whether the wiring delivers the correct bandwidth from end to end. In the end, you will receive a report for all of this confirming that what you commissioned has been achieved.
