Home door protection - Is it available on the market?

At the hardware store, get brass or aluminum sheet, cut it to size, and screw it on. Or you go to a locksmith and have it made for you. Or do you mean around the lock? A locksmith service provides something like that.

Do not buy anything new. Dismantle sheets, have them refurbished, and reuse them. It would be a shame otherwise.

Firstly, of course I do not mean the fitting, but the metal sheet! For doors with a thickness of 30mm, with a milling for the mortise lock, a protective device made of a metal sheet is quite sensible. Unfortunately, you hardly find that anymore!
Secondly, the picture is from my neighbor in the same old building, but not my door.
I now have the choice between a rod lock, which I would have to lock twice, or a reinforcement of the door through a metal sheet.
That I can have such a custom-made item made by my trusted metalworker was not my question!
Looking forward to suggestions.
