Heritable Building Right: Should a notification for remodeling/renovation be registered with the lessor?

I bought a house on a [Erbbrauchrecht] property 2 years ago. The property was previously rented out and will soon be occupied by myself. However, there will be extensive renovations and refurbishments beforehand. Now the following legal question:

When, how, and in what form do I have to notify the lessor of these measures?

What does the leasehold agreement say? Renovation/conversion measures are generally not subject to notification requirements, why should they be?

If it is remodeled, a building application might even be necessary, depending on how extensive the remodeling is. A pure renovation does not change anything, but a remodel (change of window areas, additions, expansions) changes the structure of the building. This change may require approval. The ground leaseholder might also need to be informed. However, this should be stated in the contract.

I will check in this evening. A building application will definitely be necessary.

The contract says nothing explicit about this. What now?

Does it possibly say something about this in the land register?
