Hello community,
I urgently need help. I am losing track of the various options for roller shutter control.

We have:
Ground floor 10 roller shutters
Ground floor 1 distribution box
Upper floor 6 roller shutters
Upper floor 1 sub-distribution box.

We want:
- To operate each roller shutter up/down via a button
- To operate all roller shutters on the ground floor up/down via a central switch
- Central time programming for groups or each roller shutter
- Possibly later the option to control roller shutters via a sun sensor (but not a must!!)

Planned was:
To realize all this using LOGO. The problem here is that on the ground floor I need 20 outputs for the roller shutters + another x for the central switch.
So I would need on the ground floor distribution box 1 x base (4 outputs) plus 2 x extension modules (16 outputs) plus another extension module for the central switch???
On the upper floor I would need 1 x base and 1 x extension module again.

This has been done so far:
The window installer installed 16 eleros.
5x1.5 leads to the respective distribution box for each roller shutter.
Finished.

The actual question:
Am I overlooking a provider on the market that specializes in roller shutter control? All I find are base stations with 4 outputs + countless output extensions for expensive money.
We do not want to rely on radio. I have looked at Busch, Gira, Comexio. It comes to over €1,600 :(

Thank you in advance.

Regards tyron

Hello Tom, KNX is always associated with expensive and difficult to program. Which actuator would you recommend? What is needed?

Hello tyron,

KNX is actually simple and once you get into it a bit, it is even cheaper than the classic system as soon as a few extras like electric blinds with comfort features and FB heating with individual room control are added.

There is an actuator from Merten with 12 roller channels. Otherwise, an 8-channel and a 2-channel MDT.

How far along are you with your electrical work??

Regards
Thomas

Hi Tom, thanks for your quick response. That sounds interesting. Currently, we have ONLY laid 5x1.5 from the roller shutters to the respective distributors (per floor). Nothing has been laid from the switch to the distributor yet! My brother is an electrician but has no knowledge of KNX. Regards Michael

hm, to speak of expensive at 16 roller shutters for 1,600 euros seems exaggerated to me given the expected performance. After all, you save on the no longer needed simple controls (from 30 euros upwards).

So we're talking about 70 euros. I don't find that expensive for your request.
