Hello everyone,

here is the problem. I have 2 rooms, both of which are laminated. Now, at the door threshold there is a quite high height difference (about 4 cm), so I cannot use an adjustment profile because those can only compensate up to 2 cm.

What options do I have now to properly design the transition between the two rooms? In addition, the laminate at the door threshold is not cut very neatly, since I thought an adjustment profile would go over it anyway.

I would be very grateful for tips.
Best regards

That is already a proper door threshold.

1.
I would have the carpenter make a kind of squared timber and have it color-matched, covering the transition between the laminate and the "squared timber" with a proper transition strip.

2.
Use a stair edge profile.
