Not all heat pumps need a heating rod, for example Mitsubishi Zubadan does not need one down to -25°C. Sorry Wallace, your last 2 messages (yours and mine) were not displayed for me, so I wrote the same thing again. 8.1 kW for €11,200 seems excessive to me, especially when the site is called billiger.de. Please check on Ebay or if you have connections, in the specialist wholesale refrigeration trade. I found one for 8 kW (split) for €9,000. You have to be careful, there are differences with Mitsubishi, for example, integrated hot water tank or without, etc. Regards Max
