Heat pump on a pedestal or directly on the floor?

Hey,

the GU supplies an aluminum base for the heat pump. However, the responsible GU plumbing contractor does not like the base because the heat pump would wobble. Alternatively, the heat pump directly on the tiled floor.

Are there any opinions on this? The heat pump is a Rotex HPSU Compact Ultra.

Thanks!

We just had the heat pump standing on the screed

On the screed, does tiles around mean? Almost like recessed.

Ours is decoupled on a pedestal directly on the floor slab. The screed does not touch it, nor do the tiles. This prevents any sound transmission through vibrations.

How is the pedestal constructed?

Base slab, thin layer of EPS all around as well, then normal cast-in-place concrete on top. On top of that, the heat pump.
