The Dolle are good stairs, we also have them, starting at a UWert of 0.49 I believe and going down to about 0.38 or so. So that shouldn’t be the problem. It seems to me something could have gone wrong with the installation. Are the seals in place? What are the gap dimensions when closed?

I suspect there is too little "natural" ventilation. If the whole house is still damp anyway and you frequently go up in the beginning to store things, too much moisture still gets into the attic. If it is too tight, then it just condenses somewhere. and the moisture has caused the "lid" to warp. There has to be airflow with a slight wind. Either gaps/slits and perforated sheet metal at the eaves or ventilation slits in the underlay at the ridge (or both). Is that the case with you?

Yes, of course, it is there.

It has to basically flow through with a slight wind. Either gaps/slits and perforated sheet metal at the eaves or ventilation slots in the underlay membrane at the ridge (or both). Is that the case with you?

Unfortunately, I don't know. Visually, I haven't noticed any slits. We have a triangular window on the attic at a gable. Would it help to keep it permanently tilted open until the indoor humidity overall has dropped further, or a bad idea?

Two would be better to create an airflow. But yes, I would actually try it with that, at least as long as you don't have a dehumidifier running.
