Hello,

some time ago, I commissioned a specialist company for parquet installation to fully glue down [Landhausdielen] on 90m².

After a short time, I noticed that the floor was uneven and the skirting boards were installed very untidily. One unevenness was repaired because it was not within the usual standard. The skirting boards were also renewed.

I paid about €7,500 for the order and an additional €500 for the skirting boards.

I paid about €7,000 for the [Landhausdielen]. All in all, I come to €15,000.

What bothers me about the whole matter is that I expected a proper and clean job, but several unsightly spots occurred. Even after an unevenness was repaired and the skirting boards were renewed, I keep finding new unsightly spots. In almost all rooms, there are unevennesses that are still within the norm.

What do you think of the execution of the work?

What do you think of the door frames? Is that okay?

How do you think I should proceed (warranty period), or do you think the result is okay?

Thank you very much for answering my questions.

Just looks bad. The floorboards are very nice, but the connection to the wall and door frames is extremely sloppy.

The result is NOT ok!

Was that a reputable company? - Then I would call in the boss - 15k for 90sqm - that is expressed in words
"privately insured" - they must not let the trainee do the installation.....

So you had a "specialist company" (not a protected term!) process material you provided yourself (keyword: "upcoming trade"), complained about defects close to execution, and had some of them remedied. Now, towards the end of the warranty period, you are considering complaining about further defects (which, however, did not arise in the meantime). This will become a case for a lawyer (who will probably first scold you). I would describe the quality of the work as a "damage pattern."

You are "misquoting" me there. The material may be of private insurance quality, but that does not, without a separate agreement, mean that it must also be executed by the business owner (who, incidentally, seems to me also a butcherhouse subcontractor here).

Hello schubert79, hello Gerddieter,
thank you very much for your response.
I am very disappointed with the company.
At that time, I could not imagine that a specialist company from Karlsruhe would deliver such a subpar performance.
I have already complained about the baseboards twice (they looked much worse then).
The result you see in the pictures is attempt number 3.
The boss himself only sent his employees to me, who honestly did not seem very capable.
The uneven surface in the last picture was patched rather reluctantly. Back then, I kept telling them that the unevenness was in the middle. Eventually, I was told that the piece now met DIN standards and that it was settled for them.
For the baseboards, they even made me pay again; I agreed because they wanted to fix the damaged things.
