Hello, we are laypersons and a bit confused. During the house planning, the developer told us that the foundation slab needs to rest or cure for about 1 month before work can continue. Now I asked him again about the schedule, and there is no longer any mention of a pause for the foundation slab. What is the common practice?

We were told that it needs to dry out for about 2 weeks before construction can begin.

However, the screed requires 4 weeks to dry out.

Concrete needs 4 weeks to fully cure, but that doesn’t mean you can’t put anything on it before then. I think nothing will happen after 2 weeks, even if a prefabricated house is placed on it then.
As for the screed, it depends on the screed. Cement screed dries faster, anhydrite screed easily takes 8 weeks. But it can also be walked on after 3 days.

They talk a lot when the day is long... so that as a builder you don't wonder why so many days nothing happens and there is space for other construction projects in the schedule

In our construction area, the delivered bricks are placed on the construction board after about 3 days. Shortly after, the masons begin with the exterior walls

Understood, so it is rather the screed that needs the break.
