Hello everyone
On our desired plot (new development area), it was determined through aerial imagery review that the area is located on a former anti-aircraft position. Therefore, a survey for explosive ordnance must be conducted if "bodeneingreifende Maßnahmen" take place.

What does "bodeneingreifende Maßnahmen" mean?

Does this only refer to cellar works, or does it also apply to a slab-on-grade?

If a slab-on-grade does not constitute such a measure, does it still make sense to have the survey carried out?

What is the usual cost of such a survey based on experience?

Thanks to you all and best regards
Jeva

As far as I know, as soon as you start digging. For a slab foundation, you will at least have strip footings excavated (unless a soil replacement has already been carried out - for example, no foundation is laid on topsoil).

Costs? No idea.

In the event of a justified suspicion of unexploded ordnance, the costs are borne by the public. Simply apply and have it done.

Explorations, drilling and earthworks will be charged. Partially, the countries have different regulations.

Unfortunately, he is right! Nevertheless, if there is something, I want to know it!

Hello Jeva

Flak positions always come with the risk that some grenades have been left behind. Or they were shelled with Ari or by aircraft. I would feel uneasy pouring a slab and building a house on it if perhaps some hundredweight of explosives were rotting underneath me.
The guys from the bomb disposal unit are usually very nice. Just call them and ask about the price for a survey.
