There is a general rule of thumb that the area on which the ground collectors are installed should be about 1.5 to 2 times larger than the living area to be heated. Now there is a provider (N ibe) that manages to do it with about 1/3 of this area. Unfortunately, this provider is not represented in our region. Does anyone know of other similar concepts/companies?

I assume that the concept of ring trench collector is meant. Just google it. Have you already called Nibe Germany? They can surely also give you suitable partner companies near you. Otherwise, the ring trench collector is also quite suitable as a DIY project.

Thank you Denz! The Nibe partner closest to us (about 100km) has already declined. Thanks to your tip, I have now found the company Idm, which offers ring trench collectors. Do you happen to know them? Otherwise, do you think we could install the ring trench collectors ourselves and only need the excavator work + connection by the electrician/plumber?

So I planned and installed my ring trench collector (Ringgrabenkollektor) myself.
You don't need an electrician for the ring trench collector itself. You need one for the heat pump.
If you want to contract out the excavation work, it probably makes more sense to contract everything at once. But I don't know exactly how the prices are in your region.
My father is good with the excavator. Therefore, I only needed to rent the excavator.

I don't know the company. But I also didn't look for one because I wanted to install it myself from the beginning.

If you do it yourself, also consider filling the collector. I still have to do that. It supposedly isn't that difficult. But if you don't want to do it yourself, it's best to clarify beforehand if your heating installer will do it.

So the prices are rather on the expensive side with us ;) Still, it might be safer, also in terms of warranty liability, to outsource all the work.. Which ring trench collector brand did you choose, Denz? And have you already tried it?
