I would like to soon beautify the east side of my garage with a trellis. Since it is only bright in the morning, I have selected 2 robust climbing plants. One is the honeysuckle or the climbing rose Dortmund. Which do you think is better?

The wall is about 3.5m high and 8m wide. I was thinking of 3 plants but not mixed.

I once had a honeysuckle, it did not convince me. I find climbing roses more beautiful. Can they stand in partial shade?

Yes, the variety is robust. So Rose. Then we'll just keep that between us. ;)

There are also many ornamental vines that grow in the shade. Since they do not bear fruit but only large leaves that turn red in autumn. In winter, however, these fall off.

Yes, wild grapevine was also an option. But on this wall, I definitely wanted a few blossoms. There are many other places where the grapevine gets its chance. :)

I do not recommend wild grapevine. Very intense growth present.
