Unfortunately, I have a similar problem with lawn mower edges made of granite. No oil, but ingrained dirt from the topsoil. As soon as I have cleaned it, I can give you feedback. Sealing with natural stone is unfortunately the be-all and end-all, I unfortunately dropped the ball a bit in the outdoor area. I sealed my rubble stone and the window sills immediately.

one of my "tricks" is to classify dirtiness as "charming" (at least as far as possible :cool:).

Antiques have their charm, because of such traces ...

That might work in old buildings with a certain used look or 'vintage effect'.

I keep coming back to this topic. When does the "age of objects" become interesting? Until when is "looking like new" stylish ... and from when is something allowed to look old? For myself, I find: a friendlier – more relaxed – attitude towards attractive things allows more space for a relaxed life ...
