Hello everyone, I am currently working on my enclosure. I have concreted the wall with shuttering blocks. Now I would like to glue 5cm XPS boards and then fill them. My question is, can I glue these XPS boards with perimeter foam, or is that not advisable?

Sure, that works. But let me ask why you want to do this or what you expect from it? How are you doing the waterproofing?

OK all right, I would only glue the panels to get a nice even surface? I would first coat the shuttering blocks with liquid coating. Or what do you think would be best?

Without XPS. That is double and unnecessary work. Sealing and plastering is enough. If you want it smoother, first use reinforcement mesh and finally apply the surface texture you want.

So only with adhesive filler and reinforcing mesh or what? And moisture sealing beforehand

No, primer on the wall and then lime cement plaster with reinforcement mesh on top.

That will be nice and smooth and above all durable. The mesh is included so that the plaster does not crack.

The plaster will be about
1.5 to 2 cm thick.
