Hello everyone, I would like to switch the living room and dining room lamps from three locations. For this, I would like to have a module with two rockers at each of the three locations. So I would need to make a crossover switch. Then I need two double two-way switches and a crossover switch with 2 rockers. Is there a crossover switch with two rockers? So far, I have only found a crossover switch with one rocker from Gira. Thank you very much for your feedback.

Hello,
I actually can't think of any switch manufacturer that has double cross switches in their range right away.
Basically, I would advise against this combination. It always looks strange when the rockers have different positions on one switch.
If possible, lay a 7-core cable from the sub-distribution to the room and install 2 impulse relays in the distribution.
Or if that doesn't work, get impulse relays for the junction box.

Does not really exist. An electrician from my family also confirmed this to me. I'm not necessarily a fan of push buttons, but the audible switching of the relays would bother me. That's why there will be either two crossover switches or just one crossover switch for only one lamp at the patio door.

Relays are (reasonably) housed centrally in the electrical distribution and should therefore be inaudible?
If you have more than one such wish, it might be worth considering "smarthome" ... ;)

Who still builds a crossover switch today? That's prehistoric. Nowadays there are silent relays and in the distribution board it is not audible. If that already bothers, I don't want to know what it’s like when the refrigerator makes noise..

Whether cross-switching or with relays: don't use double rocker switches. It always looks disharmonious when a lamp is on here and off there, and it just gets confusing where which one is switched. Use two switches stacked on top of each other instead of double rockers. I would only use double rockers if the space absolutely does not allow anything else and in the case of renovations, not if you have the choice. If you later install any control system (Philips, Alexa, Ikea, whatever) as plug and play, you will hardly use them anyway and can also switch both lamps with one rocker.
