General contractor - What criteria for choosing one?

What counts above all is sympathy and the feeling of being well taken care of. With which of the two can you have a disagreement without everyone immediately falling apart? Who is more interested in implementing exactly your goals and less in their own? Who rather conveys the feeling of solving problems and pays attention to details?

My tendency is also towards number 2, after all, the few bucks don’t make much difference. But objectively, there is no winner and we are not on site. :)

GU 1 probably has some own craftsmen, is not completely dependent on subs. That would be important to me.
