Hello, my husband and I have the opportunity to purchase a 10-year-old house. The previous owners stated that the monthly gas costs amount to about 220 EUR per month. The living area is 250 sqm, so quite large as well. How many kW can be considered realistic for this size?

Hello,
Such information should always be regarded with utmost caution, as the user behavior is completely unknown!

kW is a power unit, not energy (kWh)! When buying existing properties, you should always consult an expert; this protects against unpleasant surprises.

Best regards.

Would have an energy certificate made, or ask if there is one available. But not consumption-related, rather component-related!

Thank you very much for your quick responses! The tip about the energy certificate is a good one, I hadn't thought of that at all. We will ask the owners if there is one.

For my new building, I get by with a discount of €50 natural gas per month, in connection with 10.5sqm solar and an LTm ventilation system with WRG

There is a legal entitlement to this! Make sure that it is a demand certificate!
