Hello dear forum community!
We are busy with the construction of the outdoor facilities of our new building. Now I need a few ideas for a certain flowerbed. In the near future, our neighbor will finish their driveway, which runs parallel to ours. We have left a one-meter gap between our paving and the boundary and want to create a flowerbed here. Our driveway is quite long at about 25 meters and runs from west to east. Due to the street layout, west sun shines unobstructed there. I would like to plant various shrubs and plants that are preferably not wider than this one meter. In addition, leaves should be avoided in autumn because we have our drainage running along the paving next to the flowerbed. A privacy screen is not necessary, but the view of the neighbor’s property can be somewhat interrupted. Both house entrances face each other here. On the last five meters, the plants should grow denser because from there you can look into our garden from behind. For illustration, I have taken a few pictures.
Since I am a beginner in gardening, I am simply lacking ideas. The garden itself will lean towards a cottage garden style, native/insect-friendly plants are desired!
Thanks a lot in advance :)
