Hello everyone.

My garage door automatically opens again as soon as it reaches the stop... I have to aim the remote precisely for it to stay closed. Apparently, when closing, it goes beyond a certain point at the end and then automatically reopens (for safety reasons?). Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this and how to adjust it? I am completely at a loss and couldn't find anything about this garage door problem online. Thanks in advance

Since when has it been like this? Has something changed?

I guess the end position is set incorrectly and/or the obstacle detection is (falsely?) triggered.
Take a look at the manual of the drive - which one do you have?

Obstacle detection, maybe dirt towards the end / small stones / ...?

With Hörmann gates, you can program the end stop accordingly so that the pinch protection (probably as in your case) does not trigger.

The manual should be helpful for that. Or a corresponding web search specifying the motor type.

Some drives have torque monitoring. If the position switch has slipped, it may happen that a mechanical stop is reached first, causing the torque to increase too much, and the drive then automatically opens again.

For some drives, briefly interrupting the power supply (fuse briefly out) is sufficient, then the drive will find the end positions anew during the next reference runs.
