Our HT opens perhaps 120°. Since there are sometimes shoes behind it, it is often only about 90°-100°. However, our hallway also extends forward and not in width, so we rarely or never need more than 90° (you don’t have furniture moves every week).

Yes, that also applies
But seriously - what advantage do the >100° have?

Feels airier, you can gather around it.

The crucial thing here is that it is a large door system, I would especially not limit anything because of the children.

Technically, it has no advantages - you don't get anything bigger through it.

It also depends on the hallway. Those who have a rather narrow, elongated hallway cannot use a 180° opening anyway. Instead, I would prefer to choose a slightly wider front door. Personally, anything from about 100° is sufficient for me; at 110°, I wouldn’t worry.

Well, it's not really a gear. I inserted a picture once. We changed the door hinge.

More than 90-100 degrees really doesn't help much. I wouldn't worry about that ...
