If they all act so difficult, just arrange an initial consultation to determine the maximum credit limit. Usually, an absurdly high number comes out of that. At least this can be easily certified.

By the way, we are still in the race after all. We were able to achieve more with the existing documents at another bank. Let's see how it goes. The next step would be the [Bausachverständige]. However, we will only commission them if the sellers provisionally decide in our favor. Of course, we will only know if we want the house once the [Bausachverständige] has given their approval, but commissioning them for a lot of money and then the seller decides to sell to someone else does not seem sensible to us either. I will report back then.

The seller has actually decided in our favor! At the beginning of next week, the building surveyor will come. And if we still think after that that this is the right house, then it is ours .
