Just a question for any TV and Hi-Fi pros who might be here.
We want to set up our TV at the foot end of the bed in the bedroom. The only important thing for us is that the TV is visible from behind or facing the room with hidden cable management so that the TV doesn’t look too messy from behind when you enter the room. I’ve already come up with a few ideas myself, which are:
1. Buy a ready-made stand for the TV and then pimp it yourself and basically screw/attach a nice wooden board to the VESA mount from behind? So that you don’t see all the cable stuff anymore.
2. Build some kind of freestanding drywall or double-planked wooden wall as a room divider and leave it hollow inside to hide the cables?
3. Similar to number 2 but put a wardrobe/dresser as a room divider, cover the ugly back wall again with a nice wooden board, and screw the TV with a wall mount onto the wooden board. Hide the cables in the wardrobe/dresser and enjoy the additional storage space?
Or are there easier options in terms of price-performance and effort that I’m overlooking?
The TV is deliberately to be at the foot end of the bed so no one has to twist their neck or lie on their side, and the wall actually behind it is already used for a wardrobe and such since storage space is needed.
