Since pile foundations are basically the "worst" thing that can happen in the foundation sector, no one chooses them voluntarily. Whether you can then make a virtue out of necessity by using the piles as probes ... well, let's say, a proper ground probe costs between €7,000 and €15,000, varying greatly from region to region. Just take that as a benchmark for the additional cost that pile foundations have compared to "energy piles."

Nice idea, on the one hand. But: load transfer is after all not a "side job," I can't really imagine that as a "combo device."
