Hello,
we are building a prefabricated house and we want a flush shower tray 100 x 80 cm in the bathroom that is flush with the adjacent floor tiles, i.e. without an edge.

Our architect said that this is not possible, we should rather tile flush. But visually, I would prefer the shower tray. Does anyone have experience whether this really is not possible? Or does anyone know how the approximate planning is so that I can show it to our architect?

I have already found such a tray that it should be roughly like, see link. Just for better understanding.

The picture of the tray can be uploaded via the software. Thank you

Thank you very much.

Hi,

You want to get a plan from the forum here and then give it to your architect?

Do you trust your architect? Or don't you trust him?

How far along is the planning of the house?

It is not about whether I trust him or not, but about clarifying whether such a shower tray of this kind is possible or not, because according to the internet it is possible and is published here as such. It is a shame that one has to justify oneself so much for a question here, because I thought this is a forum for builders where open questions can be clarified.

Well, anything is possible. It's a question of cost and, at an advanced stage of construction, a question of building construction. But how is anyone supposed to tell you here whether it will work exactly for you. However, if your architect says it can't be done, then it won't work. Why would he say it's not possible if it is possible. Doesn't really make sense, does it?

Hello,

What on earth is that supposed to be?

Kind regards

Should one trust the architect blindly? You contradict the purpose of an internet forum, where exactly such questions are asked and one hopes for experiential knowledge (and not for binding facts). My boss also earns a lot of money for his job, yet I frequently question his statements critically...
