Floor plan for a hipped roof house with 2 full floors

Oh, okay, then hopefully my wish regarding the WC door is not illegal in Germany! ;-)

We have also already considered swapping the [Technik] and the [Büro], but we have not really come to a good solution yet. The rooms with hot water would just be nicely grouped together that way, meaning short distances for the hot water. The [Büro] is currently northwest and that's not so bad because my partner would probably work there mostly in the evenings. But we are still thinking about it...

Oh right, the kitchen!

But I would find out first how drastic (elaborate, space-consuming, or expensive, for example) it would actually be, because making the floor plan a hostage to this advantage would be a shame. For me, optimal orientation would be more important than the consolidated water!
