No, you are not overlooking anything, the system you choose mostly depends on the installer/supplier. I would choose the one your floor layer is most familiar with and has contacts for.

The advantage of the Steico system is, as you write, that there are battens for 6cm thick insulation boards, meaning the dimensional lumber is then 55mm thick. It is more common to screw in than the 35mm of the Gutex system.

....then I guess that would be me :D, so it will probably be the 6cm model from the two providers; Gutex only has the 4cm one. Many thanks for your great advice!!

Gladly. I would contact Steico again regarding the planned setup. As you wrote at the beginning, you need a vapor barrier on the raw concrete.

Sure, I had already clarified that with them. They have no special recommendation, just a barrier against rising moisture from the "usual suspects" like Bauder, etc.
It will still be a while before installation, but in any case, I already have the issue clear for myself now and can then clarify the last details before installation.
Thanks again.

Whoever climbs will eventually fall. Considering what she and her best friend climb or play on, I’m not surprised nothing worse has happened. Our neighbor has said several times, today I mixed some plaster, just as a precaution.

Great that you found what you were looking for.
When are you starting?

How/Where do you actually lay your heating+water pipes at Steico/Gutex?
