A survey by the financial service Bloomberg among leading economists has produced a surprising result: a brutal interest rate jump could be imminent for German government bonds.
Even though professionals predict an end to the negative interest rate era, they expect a gradual development, not a revolution. On average, survey participants see the ten-year yield at one percent only by the end of 2018. "It is a moderate increase."
