Neither is final! ... !!!

Living room too large or rather useless open space there with many disadvantages compared to the other rooms.
Kitchen in both designs not functional, the rest (including the entire upper floor) also not.

Sorry, but there are so many planning errors in it, as far as I can even make out anything, that you cannot go into details. Everywhere these "room noses," which are not good but rather wasted space in square meters.

Who is planning for you? Architect? Construction manager/site manager/project manager? Or you?
If the latter, then please realize that a professional needs to be involved.
If the former, then either change them or mention that you can get support before you are at the mercy of the construction manager/site manager/project manager.

We have 9x11, but the floor plan is much more functional than yours. We even have 3 children's rooms on the upper floor; with two children's rooms, planning is even better (easier).

Don’t you have a TV? At least I don’t see space for one in any of your designs. But you seem very stubbornly attached to your bay window, which offers you no(!) added value.
