Hello, greetings to you all together..,

I have a problem, but I think it’s doable..
I have installed suspended ceilings throughout the house and laid cables everywhere for the spotlights where I can later drill to install the spotlights. Now everything is connected and the ceiling is suspended, and I can’t find my plan showing exactly what is underneath...
Is there a detector for something like this that can find the wago connectors or how should I best do it? Taking the ceiling down again would be the worst..

Best regards and many thanks

It should be no problem for a Bosch GMS 120 Pro location device to find the cable.

Hello, thanks first of all for your answer.. But does it recognize all the cables at once or does it only recognize the end piece with the [wagu klemme] so that I can carefully drill the hole with the router for the spot.. Regards

So exactly finding the spot where the Wagos are, the cable tracker can’t do that. But at least roughly, you should know how you planned the spots, right? Then I would trace the plan and use the cable tracker to try to find the position of a cable. Then you have to do a test drilling, if it doesn’t fit, you can also put such pieces back in. Normally there should also be some slack in the wiring so that the installed wiring can still be adjusted within a certain range.

Presumably, there are also cables on the ceiling for other purposes, e.g., supply lines, which are then also located. What you need would be a cable locator, e.g., from Fluke, but they are not cheap, around €600. Possibly borrow one from an electrician, but not everyone has one. I don’t know of a detector for Wago connectors, that would be ideal.

Search for PeakTech 3435, with it I located a single line very precisely.
