With the Allianz, the info came immediately that they only do the builder’s risk insurance for business customers now, but I hadn’t even had Provinizal on my radar.

We had / have all insurances with Sparkasse. They were also reasonable in price for us.

We had offers from [Provinzial], [R+V], and [LVM]. We ultimately chose [LVM] because they are local and the boss is personally known. Prices were very close to each other for comparable services.

We have been with an independent broker for years, who insured our house with Rhion for around 200,- per year, including elemental damage. That is okay. And he currently represents the insurer. If there is an issue, he is my contact person. We have everything except health insurance with him. Car, house, household contents. I leave the choice of the insurer to him because he knows us. He knows it doesn’t have to be the cheapest, but affordable, reputable, and long established in the market. In case of doubt, I want a proper settlement.

Goods were also at the Sparkasse, they were used once after construction due to water damage. At first, they did not want to pay.. I don't really remember why anymore, but after I could prove that it was a heavy rain event and we did not cause it, everything went smoothly.
