Hello dear forum,

I will have completed my financing in the next few months and the question arises whether the bank sends a final statement after payment of the last installment, showing exactly which interest was paid over the entire period. Unfortunately, I only see 12 months and missed saving this annually ;-) The bank is Ing-Diba. I know I could also call them, but I found this way more convenient ;-)

Thanks!

Hello ich2k17

I can only speak from my experience with it (Sparkasse).
When applying, the contract states how much interest you pay. Look for that again, it says how much interest you have taken out and how much interest you pay; the bank is also bound by that and cannot simply change it. :)

If you have any further questions, feel free to write to me. I will gladly answer them.

Best regards, Ricco Neugebauer

It only works if there were no special repayments or changes in the repayment rate.

Another question: Why is this needed?

I have made multiple special repayments and changed the interest rate, so I am asking.

@ lastdrop: I would really like to know how much money I have wasted on interest. That’s the controller in me coming through. ;-)

How about simply waiting for the annual account statement as of 31.12.2018? Since you should receive a statement every year, just net them off. If you haven't kept them (or they are no longer accessible online), you have to request them for a fee. However, since you cannot undo the interest payments, that would be an expensive pleasure for your Controller heart ;-)

Then I guess I have to live with the ignorance, I thought there were banks that offer the service and had suspected a forum member with repaid construction loans here. Hence the question. But it doesn't matter, thank you very much!
