The situation regarding your husband's income needs to be examined more closely in order to assess whether there is sustainable income present, or whether it is considered as such. However, in principle, I see possibilities given the variety of banks with different release criteria available for selection.

If your house bank does not consider the income to be sustainable, you should contact an experienced mortgage broker.

I would say that with your house bank or local banks in general, you are most likely to find a financing partner for such arrangements. With direct banks, the likelihood of falling through the cracks is high.

I had understood it that way too, that the equity is available but not for the entire plot.

Have you already been to one of your banks?

By the way, I still remember that back then the Sparda Bank branch right next to the barracks was very "friendly".

Hello,

we have already been to our house bank and were more than disappointed with the conversation. It could not be called financial advice but rather "insurance advice." Furthermore, the advisor viewed my husband's current work situation as critical, but at that time we did not yet have anything in writing regarding the civil servant position and that his salary would definitely remain the same for 10 years. We could only assure him of this orally. We will not go to them anymore; we felt very poorly taken care of there, you could simply tell that the man only wanted to gain advantages for himself (pushing insurance, etc.).

Next week we have another appointment with a different bank with which we have already had a conversation and which seems more competent to us in terms of financing.

This time with the written confirmation if that is sufficient for the bank.

Why don't you also simultaneously contact a [Finanzierungsmakler]? They can clearly tell you which banks consider the income sustainable and are able and willing to provide financing.

So I can only recommend a financial broker to you. We also went through one, and just the first consultation was very enlightening, as he explained to us exactly how the bank calculates for us. No bank has ever made that clear to us.
