I like the comparison and it fits 100%.

But they’re not just planning the next 6 years, but all the way until retirement:

As for me, I want to get away at least 1-2 times a year, escape everyday life, enjoy the sun, be served, etc. To claim that you don’t need money for vacations when you don’t even live together yet and go to work every day and have to do the household, I find that bold.

When in doubt, rule in favor of the defendant! With 2 children and dogs you stay at home. Too much stress..... I hope we don't get sued here. Somehow the described plans are the woman's. I wouldn't hire a business informatics specialist for 50k entry salary who is so under someone's thumb.

So 50,000 starting salary for a newbie fresh out of university who initially can't do anything, sporty, at least in NRW. :-D

Somehow I chose the wrong educational path and the wrong state. With 20 years of professional experience, no degree but numerous part-time further trainings, leadership responsibility for 12 employees, etc., I don't even reach the starting salary of someone who only masters pure theory

Dear Jess,

To be honest, your ideas sound awful.

Where is the spontaneity, life with you, in your relationship? Seeing the world, partying, gaining experiences, sometimes crashing briefly and learning to get up again?

I find it the biggest life mortgage at your age to base your whole life only on material things, on a house. Love and the relationship can suffer faster than you think.
And such a house becomes a huge burden faster than you think.

Shaking my head

That’s also nice. Even people who will retire in 10 years don’t know what the legislators will come up with in the coming years.
