Hi everyone,

after my long search, I wanted to get your feedback on my choice one last time:
I found a fairly competent heating engineer who recommends a Panasonic Aquarea LT KOMBI-HYDRO L-Gen (7kw) for around €28k (before subsidies), with a small buffer tank (50L) connected in series (which also matched your feedback from my last thread). Costs include everything except for paving the path (6m distance to the installation site) and electrician according to §14a. Split device would be okay for me, I have enough space in the boiler room, refrigerant would also be R290, so I get the 55% subsidy.
Calculated annual performance factor was given as 4.79.

Key data about the house:
- Built in 2001
- 150m² living space, of which 40 in the basement (half window) and currently do not need strong heating, supply line later
- 65m² usable area
- Previous owner’s consumption: 15,000 kWh/year
- Underfloor heating in kitchen, living room and bathrooms, thermostats in basement and upper floor

Most other offers were all either above €35,000 (sometimes with 600l buffer tank and heat pump alone costing €18k).

The only offer I still had half in mind was a Vaillant Arotherm plus VWL 75/6 A S2 (monoblock). Here we were at €32k all in, but I have to say, some statements seemed fishy to me. First, his installation options did not match the placement of my boiler room at all, and then he advised me against Panasonic for two reasons (I assume these were distractions):
1. Spare parts possibly not available after 3 years (I can’t imagine that)
2. He said that the annual performance factor is often specified at +2 degrees for the Asians and not at -7, so it would probably be lower than their offer in comparison. But I only saw the degree specification on the SCOP value, not the annual performance factor.

Do you have any other "red flags" I should be aware of before I commit to Panasonic? :)

Best regards

Can report from Panasonic myself. I have been operating two monoblocks for almost three years.
- Spare parts? Running without faults for three years
- Operation? Much simpler than with German representatives. Where simple = easy to use
- Efficiency? Annual performance factor well above 4 - closer to 5 (in a very well renovated old building)
- Price? Significantly cheaper than German brands
- Noise level? Relatively quiet
Customer service etc. I therefore have no experience with.
