Hello everyone,

we are in the process of buying a house and are already busy planning which work we will carry out.
To enlarge the bathroom on the upper floor a bit, we would have to remove some non-load-bearing walls and replace them with drywall. We want to lay tiles and laminate on the floors.

Removing the walls will create a gap in the screed (at least that's what I assume) which I want to properly fill again and connect to the existing screed.
Can someone tell me what the correct way would be to carry this out? I don't want a makeshift solution and later cracks in the floor or wall.
Unfortunately, you can find many tips on the internet, such as filling with leveling compound.

I am grateful for any tip.

Depending on how deep your gap is, a bit of dry screed filler and the last 5 cm of screed concrete. I also filled it with tile adhesive at my place.. Whether it's professional, I can't tell you though

Screed needs at least 5cm height; if that is the case, put foil underneath, slightly moisten the edges, then pour in the screed and compact well. If the height is low, use leveling compound. If it is to be tiled, use only FLEX adhesive. (let it dry well)

Not directly as an answer to your specific aspect, but for getting a basic understanding, here is a current thread on a similar issue:

What do you know about the construction of the house? Year of construction?

Year of construction 92. As I said, we are in the process of buying it, we will get a notary appointment in the next few days. We have not started any work yet. I estimate the height at 6cm.. in the attic there was no screed but otherwise everything was prepared. However, it has not been measured.
