the stone strip... can it be concreted? Doesn't it have to remain open? That's why I would have just placed stones like in the 1st post on it...

It sounds like you want to get rid of the soil cheaply and see no need to change the existing path. So: advertise topsoil for self-collection. We would gladly take it in [Bergischen].

huh? 1. Saarland is a bit far away. 2. we WANT to change the way by filling in the "hole" that has been bothering us for a long time.

I would probably do it as follows.

Remove the current lawn curbs.

Fill the area with soil and compact it.

Reset the lawn curbs.

Fill the area at the house with stones (as it is now).

The only place where there could be some problems would be the windows, especially the upper one, since the stones already reach up to the windowsill there. If the soil goes higher than the windowsill, the lawn curbs are not so suitable to use because of their low height. Alternatively, paving slabs like those leaning against the house wall at the end of the hill could be installed vertically.

These can protrude further out.

What do you say about the topic of moisture? The house wall below the stones is protected by dimple mats and tar mats, etc. as far as I know. Should I also do something further up?
