Hello,

I am currently building a new chicken coop.

I want to lay S-stone paving (20 sqm height 80mm) as the floor.

What speaks in favor is that I have them left over and this is a good way to use them up.

What speaks against it is that there will be joints through which water can accumulate in the substructure when spraying.

However, a chicken coop should be as dry as possible and remain so.

So I am looking for a way to close these thin joints (1-3mm) as waterproof/sealed as possible and it should be inexpensive (it makes no sense if I save money by using the existing paving stones and then spend it on the jointing, I could just as well pour a concrete slab).

I have thought about brushing in cement powder and then spraying it or using tile grout (but that might already be too expensive, it has to be frost-resistant).

What if I mix jointing sand, which is very fine, with cement and brush it in and then spray it with water.

The surface can remain smeared after jointing, it does not need to look nice, just be sealed.
