Hello everyone,

I currently have a second building plot which I want to fill with excavated soil so that there is a reasonably flat surface. How does this affect a possible later construction in maybe 10...15 years? Can one then build again on the filled, compacted, and long-settled soil (not topsoil) or would I have to remove it all? Thanks, regards

that really depends on your property and what you want to build on it ... usually you have more excavation than less.... and as a rule, you are not allowed to keep dumping earth on your property indefinitely and altering the terrain.

And then the house should be closer to the street after all. Or further away. Or have a basement.... The idea is good and understandable. But 10-15 years is too much uncertainty.

I assume you mean the load-bearing capacity. I am quite sure that the soil has to be removed again and you must build your little house on undisturbed soil.

I am sure that it will not be allowed. We went through this with my sister; they also wanted to store the excavation on the private property, but the city interfered.

As always, it depends. Z0 may be stored or taken. Usually, however, heaping is only allowed up to 1 meter above ground level. If it really is Z0, you can also get it "disposed of" for free. As others have written, there is usually too much soil left over. Therefore, rather not do it.
