Hello dear construction community,

I want to move my garden gate or replace another dilapidated pillar. Unfortunately, I can't find this design. It is probably from the early 60s. Width 40cm, depth 20cm, although 40x40 is also acceptable.
If anyone here could give me a tip on where I can find such pillars or the modules - preferably also with a mailbox - I would be very grateful!

Many thanks and greetings,
Andi

That's just old GDR junk, I think you can get it somewhere on classifieds, of course only used.

I revise, it could possibly also be FRG ;) Just try searching for Formsteine or Pfeilersteine.

I would rather guess it's a standard 08/15 design. Get some release wax and rubber or something similar to mold the relief, the rest is a cuboid formwork into which you place the mold before pouring the concrete. Any nearby construction contractor would appreciate this nice task for their apprentices.

You want to set a new column among a lot of old stones,
in 20 years the appearance will be matched, :)
if the very old ones haven't already crumbled by then ;).
I would remove the pillar and set the new gate with the metal pillars, then you also have an adjustment option

Thank you very much for the many responses! Rather BDR, in the greater Munich area :) The gate with post remains, but this post was easier to photograph. The entrance gate is to be moved. Perhaps the old columns can also be preserved and everything “refreshed” a bit. Matching the posts, there is an 8m long wall. Therefore, I would actually prefer to keep the style consistent. I had hoped that one can also buy a kind of pillar stones individually to build up a pillar. New pillars and mailbox with doorbell system … that adds up again. And a trash bin house for several bins should also still fit with it. Oh dear.

Thank you and best regards, Andi
