Hello and good evening,

first of all, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas.
Since my work on the construction site should continue quickly after the holidays, I would appreciate suggestions on a small issue.

I will be building the partition walls in the bathroom for the heating engineer, who will start work in January. I had already planned the bathroom thoroughly with the bathroom planner back then. What I especially liked was the continuous niche on the shower back wall. Now I have already ordered my materials for the construction: Ytong blocks and a 1m lintel.
Now to my actual question: Is it possible to realize a niche like this?
If I had ordered a longer lintel, I could probably have created some kind of bearing and recessed the lintel on the left side into the wall, allowing it to rest on the partition on the right.
Can you think of anything else? Or do I have to live with a bearing surface (marked in red)?

Best regards,
XxTankerxX
