I know, I know... this topic has been discussed multiple times... All solutions have their advantages and disadvantages and depend on the specific property... Precisely for this reason, I am asking for help. Maybe there are master painters here who could advise me independently.

New construction, gable roof (42⁰) WITHOUT eaves. The house borders directly on fields, orchards, vineyards... A light (not white) facade with a slight broom finish plaster is planned, and light clinker bricks will be applied to the garage. Wall construction: filled (with mineral wool) Poroton bricks, pure lime interior plaster, silicate paint (Innostar from Keim).

It is important to me that the wall remains as diffusion-open as possible, that no algae or fungi form, and that dirt from the roof does not leave streaks on the wall.

Next week, the Brillux representative will come to us. Since he naturally cannot be completely objective, I would like to read your opinions on the topic of "silicate or silicone resin paint." Brillux, Sto, Keim, Caparol? Maybe another manufacturer? Which paint have you used?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

No matter what you use, nothing will fulfill your requirements 100%.

That is initially also a question of the plaster. What kind of exterior plaster have you planned? Mineral, then also a mineral paint (silicate).
Manufacturer does not matter.

Yes, mineral. Is there also another good alternative with my interior wall structure. I just wonder which paint keeps the facade cleaner for longer. As already mentioned – no roof overhang.

Plenty of alternatives. And of course, matters of belief. From gypsum plaster to clay plaster or lime-cement plaster. They all work equally well – each has small advantages and disadvantages. The topic of "diffusion-open" is anyway a buzzword in new construction, but it has no real significance. No real differences. It's a matter of belief whether you prefer a (temporary) lotus effect or go for classic silicate paint with an appropriate pH value.

More important than the topcoat is the substrate.

Which base coat?
Which primer?
Should the plaster be mixed by oneself as dry material from the bag and then colorfully designed afterward?
Should ready-colored mixture in buckets be used?

What grain size should it be?

If you only take a small grain size, about 2mm, and then have to repaint it at some point, it will pretty much disappear.
I think you have to paint your house every 10 - 15 years or so. Too strong colors also tend to fade on the sunny sides.
Very unpleasant and this often starts after just a few years.
