Exterior plaster offer - Which questions should be asked?

Hello,

this year I finally want to have my house plastered and want to get quotes and have painters/plasterers come to me.
Of course, I want to prepare for this. What questions should I ask the plasterer, what needs to be clarified?
I am hopeless when it comes to manual work, a trained businessman. Therefore quite helpless.

Such work should ideally be designed, tendered, and supervised by an independent craftsman/planner - especially if you lack the necessary expertise. It should not be left to the executing company to design the measure itself. Offers should be obtained on the basis of a uniform schedule of services (LV), otherwise they are not comparable and each company offers what seems reasonable and sufficient to them. As a rule, this is not enough - except for the companies.

Selecting the plaster system includes examining the substrate, the exposure of the wall surfaces (weather side/shading/sunlight), the pretreatment, the actual system (mineral? organic?), and the coating (paint). For a mineral plaster, plasterers/putty companies are the right partners; for organic plaster, possibly the painting company. If there is an [WDVS], of course other specifications apply.

Special attention should also be paid to the base situation, the building waterproofing in the base area, or an existing or still to be executed perimeter insulation.
