Hello everyone,

if anyone is familiar with Trotec BM31… the humidity is not shown in %, but in dimensionless digit values.

Can someone tell me how I could roughly convert these values into the usual percentages or from which digit value it would be considered increased humidity, so that one could suspect a building defect in an exterior wall?

Thank you very much

This is common for measuring devices using the CM method. The background is that it is not possible with this measuring method to determine the moisture content in % water per mass unit of the building material. That is why there are the unitless digits. Unfortunately, Trotec has its own scale (0-100) and it is not comparable with the values of other manufacturers. In the manual, you should find a conversion table. With it, you can then convert the digit value into the building material moisture if you know the measured material (and possibly other parameters).
