Hello everyone,
since the answers in my last post regarding heat pumps vs. local heating have already been very focused on heat pumps, the question is whether anyone has concrete experience with local heating in energy-efficient new buildings (with low flow temperature due to underfloor heating)?
Furthermore, the question is whether a photovoltaic system with 8kWp and heating rod and combination buffer storage noticeably increases the degree of self-sufficiency at all?
Specifically, we are building a KfW40 new building with 200m2 of living space.
A local district heating network is being offered with about 70 degrees flow temperature and a return temperature of max. 50 degrees or lower.
Basically, I find the local heating network interesting because it is uncomplicated and "robust" compared to a heat pump - I am just not sure whether it harmonizes well in a KfW40 new building and with a photovoltaic system or whether an air-water heat pump might actually fit the building better?
Now I just hope not only "pro heat pump" posts will come again ;-)
